Connect your services to one workspace#
MCP Connections extends YAADMIN with tools from compatible external servers. Bring a service into chat when a suitable MCP connection has been configured.
Why use it?#
- Fewer separate screens. Query connected data and actions in the context of one task.
- Actual discovered tools. YAADMIN obtains capabilities from the configured server, rather than inventing a command list.
- Work alongside modules. Combine compatible tool results and owned files with the required permissions.
- Controlled access. External calls follow applicable YAADMIN checks, as well as the service account's own rules.

Confirm the required tool is available first. Each MCP server has its own operations, authentication and limitations.
Connect a server#
An administrator adds a supported server, configures authentication and grants access. Check discovery and try a simple read. Compatibility, available functions and external charges depend on the connection. Module package availability is shown separately in the catalog.
