Core and Agent install separately#
Core is the main YAADMIN application. Agent runs on each Windows computer you want to manage. Agent Updater updates an existing Agent; it is not the first-installation tool.
Prepare Core
Enable the Agent module and open its installation page in your own YAADMIN. The intended computer must reach Core through your network or VPN. Keep certificate verification enabled. If package creation is unavailable, review configuration with the administrator.
Prepare the installation package
Use the Agent page's MSI creation action. Wait for READY, then download the offered package. The newer interface does not require the old numbered-package dropdown. Mandatory lifetime and installation-count fields are no longer universal instructions for new packages; older bounded packages retain their own rules.
Install on the intended PC
Transfer the package only to an authorised person. Run installation with normal Windows administrator consent. It is prepared for a particular Core: do not publish it publicly or substitute a random MSI from the internet.
Check the connection
Wait for the new computer to appear Online in Core. Check its name, version and intended user session. Begin by requesting computer information without making changes.
Handle the package carefully#
Control who can access it: it can enroll new computers into your Core within its rules. Removing a package prevents new enrollments through it but does not automatically revoke the independent trust of already-registered computers. Use the forget/unlink action for the exact computer you want to disconnect.
If the computer does not appear#
Check Core reachability, certificate identity, installation completion and Agent state. Do not delete databases or re-pair blindly to fix Offline. Connection troubleshooting.
