Connect Western Bid to YAADMIN#
This guide covers Western Bid 1.3 in YAADMIN. WooCommerce payment and automatic shipping use separate plugins; installing this module does not connect a store automatically.
Enter the two connection fields
Install Western Bid from the YAADMIN catalog, enable it and open Modules → Western Bid → Settings.
- Western Bid login: the account for which your API key was issued, for example myshop_ua.
- Western Bid API key: your API key without surrounding spaces. Your website password is not an API key. If settings show Key saved, you do not need to enter it again.
The official API address is provided by the module. You do not need a server address, store URL, Chrome connection or website password. Do not select Delete saved key unless you intend to remove it. Keep the key out of chat and wait for settings to save.
Test a read request
Ask: “Show my Western Bid fulfillment product batches, including names, quantities and statuses.” Or ask: “Show available Western Bid warehouses.”
For a shipment, provide the recipient, address, parcel weight and dimensions, and intended carrier. Missing details must be clarified. Review the parameters and approve the action when YAADMIN requests confirmation.
To obtain a PDF, ask to download the Western Bid document and identify the shipment and document type. This needs Files and files.create, files.read, files.upload permissions. Downloading does not automatically print it.
Access for several workers#
Give each worker a separate YAADMIN account. Assign rights in Roles. The following are suggested permission sets; the module does not automatically create or assign these roles.
| Worker | Western Bid permissions | Allowed work |
|---|---|---|
| Viewer | westernbid.read | Read available batches, shipments, rates and dictionaries. Finance needs separate access. |
| Warehouse operator | westernbid.read, westernbid.shipping | Read data and create API-supported shipments and requests. |
| Sales manager | westernbid.read, westernbid.sales | Import sales and update tracking through the API. |
| Accountant | westernbid.read, westernbid.finance_read | View transactions, PayPal operations and transaction balance, without refund requests. |
| Finance manager | westernbid.read, westernbid.finance_read, westernbid.finance_change | Finance information and refund requests with confirmation under ordinary access rules. |
| Integration administrator | Required working rights plus westernbid.webhooks | Manage API event subscriptions when needed. |
Permissions and confirmations are different. A normal confirmation does not grant a missing permission; explicit tool DENY takes precedence under ordinary access rules. Keep secret configuration with the administrator; workers do not need the Western Bid password.
Shipment creation, refund requests and webhook-subscription changes require confirmation under ordinary permissions. Separately granted Absolute Access changes confirmation behaviour. If a change has an uncertain response, check its actual result before retrying.
API-version limits#
Version 1.3 uses the official API only. Creating product cards with photos, hiding cards and deleting batches through the web portal are not part of this version. Existing products and batches can be read within the API's returned data. Available operations also depend on your Western Bid account.
